What I find interesting about my research as an RET Fellow:

What I found interesting about my research as an RET Fellow was the engineering research being done that is geared toward helping the medical industry better understand how the brain works. This treatment is being done to hopefully aid in the treatment of neurological diseases such as Hydrocephalus, Parkinson and Alzheimer’s. As a research assistant it is my hope that my work over the past 7 weeks has contributed to these goals. As a high school math/science teacher it is my hope to use this knowledge gained over the past seven weeks to better inspire and motivate my students as to what science is and possibly as a future career choice.
